Happy Couples
Welcome to my happy place…
This is my library of love, my catalogue of commitment, the place where I get to bask in lovely words my couples have shared with me after their ceremony, along with some beautiful images from their special day!
Loic & Dana – June 2018
Sometimes I host couples in my home suburb, and even in my home, for simple legal ceremonies. Dana & Loic’s ceremony was one such, with two friends as their witnesses.
Loic is French, Dana is American, they met in New Zealand (working / travelling around the world) and were married here in Australia. It was a simple, touching moment, and an honour to share in such a special moment. I love seeing the connection between a pair of humans that love and respect each other.
Needless to say we popped a bottle of champagne (the real stuff LOL!) to toast the newlyweds!
In their words…
Alison was prompt to respond to our request for a celebrant and to answer all the myriad questions we had. We are a French and American couple who married in Australia, and in addition to the ceremony itself there was a lot of (international) paperwork we needed to sort through, which Alison walked us through in a clear and understandable way. She has had experience with international weddings before, which suited our situation perfectly.
We explained that we wanted a simple ceremony, and she was able to make suggestions and even offer her own lovely home for our ceremony, in order to keep it simple yet beautiful and memorable for us. It was clear that she had her own genuine enthusiasm for our marriage, which kept it fun for us even through all our paperwork and despite keeping it simple.
We’re very grateful to have met her and for her to have guided us so expertly through this process. Thank you, Alison!
Linda & Murat – April 2018
This was a wedding in two parts.
We sprang the first “surprise” element to guests at Linda & Murat’s joint birthday party – with one week’s notice!! But in that week, I wrote a spiritual handfasting ceremony, which was a truly magical experience for me.
Part two, the legal components, took place in front of their parents and siblings. Proving yet again that a Celebrant led ceremony is THE best way to create something that is uniquely yours.
In their words…
Alison tied the knot for Murat and I. She was everything we could have hoped for and more in a celebrant!
Alison catered to our needs for a spiritual ceremony (rather than religious) and was more than accommodating and supportive through the whole process. She actually became part of the wedding party and felt like family (to us and our actual family). We now love her dearly and we are ever so grateful to her generosity of time and spirit.
I recommend her highly.

Jodie & Jamie – March 2018
This was my first “surprise” wedding.
It was seriously SO. MUCH. FUN.
It was also my first ceremony on a boat, well technically it was a super-yacht, MV Pearl – you rock 😀 The sun was setting, it was a picture perfect day and the excitement was just out of this world. The best thing of all, knowing I played a part in joining this sexy pair in marriage.
In their words…
We didn’t realise how important this choice was going to be. We met with a few celebrants and just knew Alison was the one the moment we met with her. We made a connection instantly. Alison really made this process so easy and efficient for us. Her communication was impeccable and she just related to us on so many levels. Alison made our day so special and we will be forever thankful.
Not only did we find a celebrant, but someone very special.
We would strongly recommend this amazing lady to anyone looking… please feel free to message us for a personal review anytime. Highly recommended. 🙂

Helen & Dan – November 2017
This wedding was KICK-ARSE!!
From the music these guys chose for their ceremony, Helen’s truly spectacular dress, to the divine location at The Village Restaurant in Mt Baw Baw.
I love working with couples who value the ceremony as much as the celebration. Helen and Dan gave me so much to work with when it came to writing their ceremony – it was just like they are, detailed, thoughtful and interesting!
In their words…
Our guests had only wonderful things to say about Alison. They loved that she was calm, funny, professional and set exactly the tone we wanted for our ceremony.
We enjoyed meeting with her a few times to workshop the proceedings – she has a relaxed manner that helped get the best out of our individual story. We don’t need to worry about not knowing what we wanted to say because Alison will helped us to find the right words.
Thank you for making such an important part of our day go off without a hitch: vowels, readings, music and photos – all delicately coordinated without any fuss. Would highly, highly recommend. Thanks a million 😊🌻

Sharyn & Harry – October 2017
Sharyn & Harry celebrated with an intimate ceremony, gathered in the mews near Sharyn’s mum’s home. The very definition of lovely and low key. Their union blessed by the pending arrival of their first child, their daughter Delilah who joined them a few months later.
At the time no one knew they were having a girl, and I had the privilege of creating a “gender reveal” surprise within their ceremony to share the news – there were words, we popped a balloon – it was so much fun! So much love and joy, nothing quite so special.
In their words…
With a face that beams with genuine delight for the role she is playing in your special day, intelligence and insight into exactly how you want your story to be told, and charm and wit which so easily engages your guests from the moment they arrive.
Alison, you made our day seamless, kept our nerves at bay, and conducted a ceremony that captured exactly the sentiment we were after.
A thousand times thank-you

Nick & Tessa – April 2017
Location, location, location!!
Tessa & Nick chose Jonah’s Restaurant at Whale Beach, NSW for the back drop to their beautifully intimate ceremony. A stunning location, a truly stunning couple, and a wonderful celebration that followed. Sometimes I get to stay around and MC, and in this instance I was spoiled rotten with lovely french champagne, exquisite food and getting to hear some truly moving wedding speeches – so much love.
In their words…
My husband and I were so lucky to have Alison as our marriage celebrant. She was so thoughtful in her collection of our stories and led the most beautiful ceremony.
All our family and friends loved her and I would wholeheartedly recommend her for anyone who is looking for a positive, up beat celebrant with a passion for making people happy.

Alex & Monique – March 2017
What I loved most about getting to know these two ahead of their big day, was learning about the conscious efforts they make – every day – to nurture and strengthen their relationship. Connected and kind, watching them be with each other, it was just so lovely spending time with them.
The ceremony was much like they are – traditional with a twist 😉 In the beautiful gardens at Werribee Mansion with the sun shining and a gentle breeze keeping us cool. A perfect day to kick off the rest of their lives!
In their words…
Alison absolutely made our wedding day!
From the start she was flexible and understanding, even agreeing to a Skype interview so we could ‘meet’ her whilst living interstate! Once we were able to meet in person we knew she was ‘the one’ to marry us. She is fun, calm, patient, respectful, supportive and caring.
During the lead up she helped me cope with a not very helpful event manager. On the big day her ceremony was perfect and so true to us. We loved her so much we asked her to share in the celebrations at the reception and were chuffed to have her there. We cannot thank Alison enough, nor more highly recommend her!

Josh & Zoe - December 2016
Writing this ceremony was so much fun!!
As movie buffs themselves (Josh is often compared to Johnny Drama in Entourage - running joke!) it was almost a given that we bond so well. But better than that, these two sexy humans trusted me to make their ceremony awesome!! They gave me the space to create something fun and unusual... it is still one of my favourite ceremonies!!
In the vines at Mt Duneed Winery, we had the perfect day for it. The movie script location, and the movie script ceremony - couldn't have written a better ending if I'd tried ;-P
In their words...
Alison was easily one of the best decisions that we made for our big day.
She is an incredibly warm person who really took an interest in getting to know us. Her service was so personalised, funny & captured our ‘story’ so perfectly. I couldn’t recommend her high enough, she was simply amazing!
Lots of love Zoe & Josh xo
